Introducing designer Licong Gong
Licong Gong is a Chinese designer based in London, who graduated from the London College of Fashion and majored in MA Fashion and Technology Menswear. The graduation collection ESPACÉES released by Licong Gong mainly expresses the distance illusion change of false intimate relationship through the extended exploration of printing technology. This change is based on the principle of traditional printing technology halftone. Through the change of distance inside and outside the 3D space of clothing, it forms two printing effects of wave point and colour block, so as to express the relationship between far and near. In addition, the intimate changes of a group of actions are expressed through dislocation superposition (the superimposed colours are screened based on colour psychology, and the emotional state of the set relationship of lovers is expressed through the colour mixing effect). Licong Gong hopes to explore the extended development and more possibilities of printing and dyeing technology through humour and drama and convey subtle emotional feelings through clothing.
